Train Hard

First I’ll tell you how I used to train.  I ran a 3 mile loop and hit the weight room three times a week.  I did this for a few years and it was a struggle.  I was constantly bored and would cut my workouts short too often.  When I finally gave up on this routine, I wasn’t any faster or stronger than I was when I started.

Those days are over.  Now I train with constantly varied, functional movements at high intensity (aka CrossFit).  Sticking with this regiment has been effective and fun!  I’m faster, stronger, more flexible, and I look forward to my workouts.

For those of you less familiar with CrossFit, it is a combination of weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardio.  Weightlifting includes deadlifts, squats, presses, and olympic lifts.  Gymnastic movements include push ups, pull ups, muscle ups, box jumps and burpees.  Cardio is your running, swimming, biking and rowing.  These lists are nowhere near complete.

CrossFit takes these movements and combines them in a way that will crush you.  You will be completely exhausted, laying on the floor wondering what just happened and you’ll love it!
